Vertical sectorization: one AI3DR™[384] radio unit on one tower sends two beams stacked in elevation on the same channel, a steep beam to a near town 4.8 km away and a shallow beam to a far town 30.7 km away

Vertical Sectorization

Abside Networks introduces vertical sectorization into the AI3DR™[384] massive MIMO active antenna unit (AAU): greater frequency reuse of available spectrum licenses, enabling increased spectrum revenue from a single radio unit.

The example above (not to scale) shows how vertical sectorization serves two different communities using the same channel frequency, from the same radio unit, on the same tower: two beams stacked in elevation, each with its own capacity.

Vertical sectorization delivers on Abside Networks’ focus of high capacity at long range.
